Our church is a hospital for sinners "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."   Romans 3:23

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.        John 3:16-17

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."      Romans 8:1

Welcome to Clinton SDA Church

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.                                                John 1:1-3

What We Believe

Seventh-day Adventists hold certain fundamental beliefs, the principal features of which, together with a portion of the scriptural references upon which they are based, may be summarized as follows.

We Believe

In the Bible as the inspired word of God.    2 Timothy 3:16-17

In Jesus Christ as the personal Savior from sin due to the merits of His shed blood.  John 3:16

In the New Birth by which an individual is converted by the power of the Holy Spirit. John 3:3-5

That Jesus is coming to this earth again, personally, visibly, literally, and imminently. Acts 1:9-11

That the righteous dead will be raised at Christ's coming, will then be given immortality, and along with the righteous living, will be taken to heaven.   1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

In the final destruction of the impenitent.   Malachi 4:1-3

That the Sabbath which Jesus made at creation, and kept during His sojourn, and never abrogated - the seventh day - ought yet to be observed by His followers. Exodus 20:8-11

That the work of God is to be financed by tithes and offerings "as ye are able."  Malachi 3:8-10

That our bodies are the temples of the Holy Spirit and ought therefore to be used and treated "to the glory of God" in accordance with Biblical standards.    1 Corinthians 10:31

In the ordinance of the Lord's Supper and the ordinance of humility.    1 Corinthians 11:22-33; John 13:1-17

That Christians are to come out from the world and be separate, refraining from sinful and soul-degrading practices that would lead them away from God.     2 Corinthians 6:17

In the "gifts of the Spirit" including Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers, and that everyone is obligated to use the talents entrusted to him for the salvation of souls.   Ephesians 4:8-13

In following the example of their Lord in Christian baptism by immersion.   Romans 6:3-5

In the Godhead as mentioned in Matthew 28:18-19.

We are saved by faith, not by our works nor the keeping of the law.   Ephesians 2:8-10

It is now the judgement time, when a special gospel message is calling mankind back to special Bible truth.   Revelations 14:6-12

The Ten Commandments will be the standard of the judgement.    Exodus 20:1-17; Ecclesiasties 12:13-14; James 2:10-12

The dead sleep in the grave until the resurrection.   Ecclesiasties 9:5-6, 10; 1 Corinthians 15:20-21, 51-55; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Romans 6:23
